First healthy food kiosk inaugurated in Islamabad
The Ministry of Health of Pakistan has inaugurated a special kiosk in Islamabad to provide healthy food. The purpose of this initiative is to promote healthy eating habits among citizens and keep them away from unhealthy items.
The special feature of this kiosk is that none of the items sold here will contain white sugar or other processed ingredients. Instead, priority is being given to whole grains and wheat-based products in the preparation of food.
Health experts say that the excess of sugar and processed ingredients in market foods causes diseases like diabetes and obesity. This new project will prove helpful in providing people with natural and nutritious alternatives.
This government initiative is an effort to improve the standard of public health in Pakistan. If this experiment is successful, more such centers could be established in other cities of the country in the future to encourage the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
