Digital Vaccination Certificate Made Mandatory for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims
The Government of Pakistan has made an important announcement for all citizens traveling for Hajj and Umrah. Effective September 15, it has been made mandatory for pilgrims traveling abroad to possess a digital vaccination certificate. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure the health of the pilgrims and to ensure compliance with international travel regulations.
According to the new regulations, no pilgrim will now be allowed to travel without vaccination. Officials state that this decision has been taken in view of the strict health standards set by Saudi Arabia. All travelers have been instructed to obtain their digital certificate from the NADRA website to avoid any difficulties during their journey.
This policy will apply to all individuals departing for Saudi Arabia for Umrah or Hajj on or after September 15. Airport authorities have also been issued instructions to verify the digital documents of passengers before their flights. In case the documents are incomplete, passengers will not be permitted to travel.
The government has appealed to citizens to update their vaccination records in digital format on time instead of waiting until the last minute. This process will not only make the journey easier for the pilgrims but will also ensure they do not face any legal obstacles upon entry into Saudi Arabia.
This decision is part of Pakistan's commitment to adhering to global health standards. Relevant authorities have emphasized that all Hajj and Umrah pilgrims must strictly follow this new directive so that their journey can be completed in a peaceful and safe manner.
