Aleema Khan files court petition against Imran Khan's solitary confinement
Aleema Khan, the sister of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, has filed an important petition in the Islamabad High Court. In this petition, she has demanded legal action against the alleged solitary confinement of her brother in jail.
The petition was submitted through Barrister Salman Safdar and Salman Akram Raja. The stance taken in the petition is that Imran Khan is being kept in solitary confinement without any court order, which is against the prevailing prison rules.
Aleema Khan states that the former Prime Minister has been completely isolated from other prisoners and his contact with the outside world has been cut off. The petition alleges that he is also being deprived of necessary facilities and meetings.
The petitioner has requested the court to end Imran Khan's solitary confinement and provide him with rights like an ordinary prisoner. Now, the court will consider whether these measures are legal or not.
