Indian External Affairs Minister's statement on Pak-US relations
Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has recently expressed concern over the relationship between the United States and Pakistan. He stated that the US is finding it difficult to understand India's cross-border security concerns.
According to the Indian Foreign Minister, the long-standing relationship between the United States and Pakistan could prove detrimental to India's interests. He emphasized that the US should demonstrate more empathy and understanding regarding India's security situation.
This statement comes at a time when security and diplomatic relations in the region are undergoing changes. India maintains that cross-border activities are a major challenge for it, and the role of the international community, especially the US, is crucial in this matter.
On the other hand, Pakistan-US relations have been different in their nature. Pakistan has always maintained that it desires peace and stability in the region and has made great sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Following this statement, a debate has begun in diplomatic circles as to whether or not this statement will have any impact on Pak-US relations. Experts believe that in global politics, the interests of countries keep changing; however, dialogue between all parties is essential for peace in the region.
