FPCCI’s New Proposals to Promote Tourism in Pakistan
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has presented a comprehensive report to improve the tourism sector in the country. The primary objective of this report is to increase Pakistan's tourism exports and attract foreign tourists to the country. Experts believe that improvements in the tourism sector can provide significant support to the national economy.
Among the proposals given in the report, the most important point is simplifying visa procedures. According to experts, if the process of obtaining a visa becomes simple and fast, it will be much easier for international tourists to visit Pakistan. Along with this, emphasis has also been placed on digitizing public services so that all necessary information and facilities are available to tourists at a single click.
The safety and security of tourists have also been given key importance in this report. The report states that better security arrangements and the provision of infrastructure at tourist destinations will highlight Pakistan's positive image worldwide. When tourists feel safe, they will not only return but also encourage others to visit Pakistan.
Additionally, the report mentions climate change and its effects on tourist destinations. The FPCCI has advised that emergency measures be taken to protect natural sites from the impacts of climate change. For the sustainable development of tourism, it is essential that we take special care of our natural beauty and environment.
Finally, the report emphasizes that if these proposals are implemented in their true sense, Pakistan can emerge as a major tourism hub in the region. This will not only create new employment opportunities in the country but also significantly increase foreign exchange reserves. Mutual cooperation between the government and the private sector is extremely necessary to turn this dream into a reality.
