Aleema Khan files petition in High Court against Imran Khan's 'solitary confinement'

Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has filed an important petition in the Islamabad High Court. In this petition, she has challenged the act of keeping her brother in solitary confinement in jail. Aleema Khan states that Imran Khan is being kept isolated from other prisoners in the jail.

The petition was submitted to the court through Barrister Salman Safdar and Salman Akram Raja. It is alleged in the petition that the former Prime Minister has been kept in solitary confinement without any judicial order. The lawyers state that according to jail rules, no prisoner can be kept isolated in this manner without reason.

The petition further states that Imran Khan is also facing difficulties in meeting his lawyers and family members. According to Aleema Khan, depriving her brother of basic facilities is a violation of his human rights. She has demanded that the court grant Imran Khan all rights in accordance with the jail manual.

Supporters and leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have long been expressing concern over Imran Khan's condition in jail. Following this new petition, all eyes are now on the Islamabad High Court to see what decision it renders on the matter. It is expected that the court will begin hearing this case soon.
