Dignified Celebration of the 79th Independence Day at Punjab University
Across Pakistan, the country's 79th Independence Day was celebrated on August 14, 2026, with great enthusiasm and a spirit of patriotism. On this occasion, special ceremonies were organized in educational institutions, government offices, and private venues to highlight the significance of independence.
A dignified ceremony regarding Independence Day was also held at the Hailey College of Banking and Finance, Punjab University. A large number of faculty members, students, and administrative staff participated in this event. The participants hoisted the national flag and offered special prayers for the country's progress and prosperity.
During the ceremony, speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the leaders of the Pakistan Movement. They emphasized that the younger generation must play their role in the nation's construction and development so that Pakistan can be made a strong and stable state.
On this occasion, the college premises were decorated with green and white flags and lights. Students performed national songs and recalled the history of the struggle for independence through speeches. The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer for the country's security.
