Government in talks with Netflix to promote Pakistani dramas and films globally
The Government of Pakistan has initiated significant measures to introduce domestic dramas and films on a global scale. To achieve this objective, government representatives are in discussions with Netflix and other major streaming platforms.
The primary goal of this project is to bring Pakistani culture and artistic works to audiences around the world. Officials believe that if Pakistani content finds a place on global streaming sites, it will not only highlight a positive image of the country but also provide local artists with international recognition.
In addition to this, the government is also considering the creation of a local streaming platform. The purpose of this platform is to provide local producers and directors with a digital medium where they can easily showcase their work to the world.
Pakistan's drama industry is already quite popular in the region due to its quality content. Now, with this government initiative, it is expected that Pakistani films and dramas will be able to reach millions more people through major platforms like Netflix.
Currently, these negotiations are in the preliminary stages, and discussions regarding technical and legal aspects are ongoing between both parties. If this project proves successful, it will be a major achievement for the Pakistani media industry.
