Issuance of Pakistani e-Passport in the UAE delayed
Important news has emerged for Pakistani citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates. The Pakistani Embassy has announced that the process of launching the e-Passport facility in the Emirates has been postponed for the time being due to technical reasons.
According to the statement issued by the embassy, more time is required for the launch of this new service. Officials state that the e-Passport facility will be officially activated only after resolving the technical issues; however, no final date has been provided in this regard.
A large number of Pakistanis living in the UAE were eagerly awaiting this facility. The purpose of the e-Passport is to modernize the passport acquisition process and make it more secure. With the launch of this facility, citizens will receive greater convenience during travel and advanced security features compared to traditional passports.
The embassy has requested all Pakistani citizens to remain patient during this delay. Officials have assured that as soon as the technical difficulties are resolved, the public will be informed immediately and the service will be launched.
For now, citizens can continue to use the old methods and existing facilities for their passport-related matters. The embassy is continuously working on this matter so that overseas Pakistanis can be provided with modern travel document facilities as soon as possible.
