First group of Pakistani pilgrims arrives in Islamabad after performing Hajj
The return process for Pakistani pilgrims has begun following the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. After Hajj 2024, the first group of pilgrims arrived at Islamabad International Airport, where they were given a warm welcome. On this occasion, officials and citizens present at the airport congratulated the pilgrims.
Federal officials, including Aftab Gillani, welcomed the pilgrims at Islamabad Airport. Emotional scenes were witnessed on this occasion, and relatives of the pilgrims showered them with flowers. Special arrangements were made by the authorities at the airport for the convenience of the pilgrims so that they would not face any difficulties.
This year, more than 1.7 million Muslims from across the world performed the Hajj pilgrimage. During this Hajj, there was intense heat and high temperatures, which caused significant physical difficulties for the pilgrims. However, the Saudi government and the Pakistani mission made every possible effort to ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims.
Returning pilgrims shared their experiences, stating that while there was intense heat during the stoning of the devil in Mina and the performance of other rituals, the spiritual peace of visiting the House of Allah prevailed over all fatigue. They also expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made in Saudi Arabia.
The Hajj flight operation in Pakistan will continue for the next few weeks to ensure all pilgrims are safely transported back to their cities. The government has set up special desks at airports in all major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, for the return of pilgrims to ensure the immigration and baggage retrieval processes are completed quickly.
