New travel rules announced for entry into Pakistan
The Government of Pakistan has issued new travel rules and regulations for overseas Pakistanis and dual citizens. According to these latest guidelines, the process of document verification for entry into Pakistan has now been made more stringent.
Under the new rules, dual citizens who wish to travel to Pakistan must now possess a valid Pakistani visa or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). The government has clarified that if a traveler's NICOP card has expired, they will not be granted entry into Pakistan.
This decision is important for all travelers heading to Pakistan from abroad. Officials state that these rules will be strictly enforced to improve the immigration process at airports and ensure security. Travelers are advised to thoroughly check the expiry dates of all their travel documents before traveling.
The government has also informed all airlines and relevant agencies of these instructions to ensure that passengers do not face any inconvenience during their travel. According to the authorities, individuals traveling with expired cards may be sent back from the airport, so it is extremely important to renew documents in a timely manner.
