47% Decrease in Illegal Migration: Pakistan's Major Success Against Human Smuggling
Pakistan has achieved significant success in its efforts to curb illegal migration. During an international forum held in Vienna, Pakistani officials stated that there has been a notable decrease in the number of illegal migrants heading to Europe over the past year. This news reflects the improved performance of law enforcement agencies in the country.
According to the report, a 47% decrease has been recorded in the number of individuals traveling abroad illegally during the past year. The Government of Pakistan has taken strict measures across the country to dismantle human smuggling networks. As a result of these operations, more than 1,700 human smugglers have been arrested so far, marking a major crackdown against this illegal trade.
At the Vienna forum, Pakistan emphasized that illegal migration is a global issue that requires a comprehensive international strategy for its resolution. The Pakistani delegation suggested that the monitoring of human smuggling routes could be further improved through the use of modern technology and digital solutions. This would not only save human lives but also make the elimination of criminal groups possible.
Experts state that raising public awareness is essential to permanently curb illegal migration. The Government of Pakistan is now working with international organizations to make legal migration routes easier and safer. The objective is for citizens to prefer traveling abroad only through legal means instead of dangerous sea and land routes.
