Medical agreements worth $850 million signed between Pakistan and China
The pharmaceutical conference recently held between Pakistan and China has concluded successfully. During this conference, significant agreements worth $850 million have been reached between the two countries to enhance cooperation in the health sector.
Confirming this development, the Federal Minister for Health stated that 16 concrete agreements and 80 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the conference. In these agreements, special focus has been placed on herbal medicines, with 18 separate agreements made regarding them. The purpose of this initiative is to promote traditional methods of treatment and modern medical research simultaneously.
Government officials say that these agreements will boost the pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan and improve the availability of quality medicines at the local level. This will not only create new employment opportunities but will also enable the transfer of technology in the health sector.
