Pakistan extends closure of its airspace for Indian aircraft
In an important announcement, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has stated that the closure of the country's airspace for Indian aircraft has been extended further. Under this new decision, Pakistani airspace will remain closed for Indian flights until October 23.
The decision has been announced through a 'Notice to Airmen' (NOTAM). According to the Civil Aviation Authority, this restriction will remain in effect until this date, and during this period, Indian aircraft will not be authorized to use Pakistan's airspace.
This measure of airspace closure has been taken by Pakistan in view of security and other administrative matters. In the past as well, Pakistan has been making changes to its airspace policies, with the aim of ensuring national defense and the protection of its airspace.
Following this decision, air traffic in the region is likely to be affected. Relevant airlines have been directed to adjust their flight routes according to this new situation so that passengers do not have to face any major difficulties.
Authorities say that the situation will be reviewed again after October 23, after which a decision will be made regarding opening the airspace or extending the restriction further. For now, all international flights have been directed to plan their travel according to this decision.
