Aleema Khan files petition in court against Imran Khan's 'solitary confinement'

Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has filed a new petition in the Islamabad High Court. In this petition, she has raised her voice against keeping her brother in 'solitary confinement' in jail. Aleema Khan states that Imran Khan is being kept separate from other prisoners, which is against the law.

This petition has been submitted through renowned lawyers Barrister Salman Akram Raja and Barrister Safdar. The petition takes the stance that Imran Khan has been kept in isolation without any judicial order. According to Aleema Khan, the former prime minister is being denied basic facilities and permission to meet people, which is his legal right.

The petitioner further states that Imran Khan's contact with the outside world has been completely cut off. PTI supporters and his family say that this is a violation of human rights. According to them, under jail rules, every prisoner should be allowed to meet their family and lawyers.

Imran Khan is currently imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail and is facing various cases. His political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been continuously claiming that he is not being treated properly in jail. On the other hand, the government and jail authorities have been denying these allegations.

Now, all eyes are on the Islamabad High Court to see what decision it announces regarding this petition. The court will review whether Imran Khan is indeed being kept in isolation without any specific reason. A hearing for this important case is expected soon, which will clarify Imran Khan's situation in jail.
