According to the Sindh Health Department, monitoring has been intensified at airports and hospitals to prevent the spread of mpox. Officials state that the screening of passengers arriving from abroad is being further tightened to curb the further spread of the virus.
Health experts have advised the public to adopt precautionary measures and to contact the nearest hospital immediately if any suspicious symptoms appear. Symptoms of mpox include fever, rashes on the body, and swollen glands.
The Government of Pakistan and the health department are continuously monitoring the situation. The public has been urged not to believe rumors and to rely only on information received from official sources. Caution and timely medical assistance are the best ways to prevent this disease.
