New Avenues for Agricultural Cooperation Between China and Pakistan
Work has begun on establishing a new trade and agricultural relationship between the Chinese city of Ulanqab and the Pakistani city of Bahawalpur. Experts believe that although these two cities are geographically far apart, there are significant similarities in their climatic conditions and agricultural potential.
The primary objective of this project is to exchange modern agricultural technology between the two regions. Experts state that the advanced farming techniques used by China could prove highly beneficial for farmers in Bahawalpur. This will not only increase crop yields but also help in improving the local economy.
Under this cooperation, experts from both countries will conduct various visits to learn from each other's experiences. This initiative will bring modernization to Pakistan's agricultural sector and introduce new methods for better water management, which are extremely necessary for arid regions like Bahawalpur.
This project is considered an important part of the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It will not only strengthen economic ties between the two countries but also enhance people-to-people connections.
In the future, such initiatives are expected to increase Pakistan's agricultural exports. The government and experts are describing this project as a significant step forward for Pakistan's food security, which will provide better economic opportunities for farmers in the times to come.
