Demand for the establishment of a paper mill in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Printers and publishers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have demanded the establishment of a new paper mill in the province. They state that this initiative would eliminate the province's dependency on other provinces and lead to an improvement in business activities.
Currently, publishers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have to look to other provinces for their paper supply. This process involves high transportation costs, which in turn increases the prices of books and other publication materials. Establishing a mill at the local level could reduce these costs.
Business circles believe that if the province has its own paper mill, the local industry will flourish. This will not only reduce paper prices but also create new employment opportunities for those associated with the printing and publishing sector.
Authorities have been urged to seriously consider this matter and work with the private sector to implement this project. This would stabilize the province's economy and make the provision of educational materials cheaper and more accessible.
