Lack of political awareness among Pakistani artists: Gohar Rasheed's statement
Renowned Pakistani actor Gohar Rasheed recently made an important point about the country's artists during an interview. He stated that most artists in Pakistan lack political awareness, which is why they avoid speaking openly on important national issues.
Gohar Rasheed believes that artists are an important part of society and their opinions can influence the public. He emphasized that artists should not limit themselves to just their work, but should also be aware of the political and social changes taking place in the country.
The actor further added that most artists choose to remain silent to avoid controversy, even though they should use their platforms to become the voice of the people. According to him, due to a lack of political awareness, artists fail to fulfill their social responsibilities.
This statement by Gohar Rasheed has become a topic of much debate on social media. Some people agree with his opinion, while others believe that artists should focus on their personal lives and work and stay away from politics.
This debate initiates a new conversation about the role of artists in Pakistan and their social responsibilities. It will be interesting to see in the coming time whether other artists express their opinions on this matter or not.
