Prime Minister sets three-month deadline to improve security arrangements at PIMS Hospital
The Prime Minister of Pakistan has set a strict three-month deadline to improve security arrangements at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital in Islamabad. This decision was made following an inquiry report that identified serious lapses in the hospital's system and administrative failures.
According to the inquiry report, there are several fundamental flaws in the hospital's security infrastructure, which cause difficulties for patients and staff. The Prime Minister has directed that these issues be resolved immediately so that the treatment process in the hospital can be made safe and transparent.
Under this government decision, an order has been issued to conduct a complete audit of not only PIMS Hospital but also the Polyclinic Hospital. The purpose of this audit is to review the financial and administrative affairs of the hospitals to avoid any kind of negligence in the future.
The government states that any negligence in the provision of healthcare facilities will not be tolerated. Relevant authorities have been directed to complete all security measures within the stipulated time and to submit reports on their performance regularly.
It is hoped that these measures will improve the quality of medical facilities provided to patients in the federal capital's public hospitals. The public has welcomed this decision, and all eyes are now on how effectively the administration implements these directives within the three-month period.
