Monsoon rains continue in Pakistan: High alert in urban areas
Monsoon rains continue across various parts of Pakistan, making the weather pleasant in many cities of the country. The Meteorological Department has predicted that more rain is expected over the next few days, which will lead to a significant decrease in the intensity of the heat.
Due to the rains, there is a risk of water accumulation in low-lying areas. The administration has issued a high alert in major cities and has initiated emergency measures to improve the drainage system. Officials have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to take precautionary measures.
On the other hand, agricultural experts say that these rains will prove to be extremely beneficial for crops. There is hope for improved crop yields, especially in the agricultural regions of Punjab and Sindh, due to the water supply. Farmers have been advised to make proper arrangements for water drainage in their fields.
The Meteorological Department has also warned of the risk of landslides in mountainous areas. Tourists have been instructed to keep the weather conditions in mind when traveling to northern areas and to follow the instructions of the local administration.
Overall, this series of rains has brought relief to citizens suffering from the heat across the country. The government and relevant agencies are continuously monitoring the situation to deal with any emergency.
