Head of District Headquarters Hospital removed from office due to poor performance
The head of the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital has been removed from his position due to poor performance and administrative negligence. This decision was made following a surprise visit to the hospital by the Deputy Commissioner, during which several serious flaws were found in the hospital's system.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner expressed severe displeasure over the extremely poor state of cleanliness in the hospital. He observed that piles of filth had accumulated in various parts of the hospital, which could pose a risk to the health of the patients.
Furthermore, major irregularities were also discovered in the hospital's records. The administration had not maintained complete data on patients and records of medicines. In addition, there was a severe shortage of basic medical facilities for patients at the hospital, which caused difficulties for ordinary citizens in receiving treatment.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that negligence in a sensitive institution like a hospital will not be tolerated. He has directed the relevant authorities to improve the hospital's administrative affairs immediately so that the provision of quality medical facilities to the public can be ensured.
Following this incident, the process of appointing a new head for the hospital has been initiated. Government officials say that the purpose of this move is to make the hospital's system transparent and to find a permanent solution to the problems faced by patients.
