According to sources, former prime minister Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, was shifted to an eye hospital in Rawalpindi for a follow-up eye examination. The examination was carried out due to medical necessity, while her regular check-ups had also previously been conducted inside the jail.
Reports said that Bushra Bibi was taken from Adiala Jail to the hospital so that her eyes could be examined further. According to sources, this was a follow-up check-up, meaning it was part of an ongoing course of treatment and monitoring.
