Karachi: 25 goats worth 1.9 million rupees stolen from Gulistan-e-Jauhar
Unknown individuals have stolen 25 sacrificial goats in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi. The total value of these animals is reported to be over approximately 1.9 million rupees. This incident occurred shortly before Eid-ul-Adha, at a time when the buying and selling of sacrificial animals is at its peak in the city.
According to reports, the thieves loaded these valuable animals into a small vehicle (mini-truck) and escaped with great ease. The incident took place while people in the area were busy with Eid preparations. Police state that the thieves executed this crime with careful planning.
This incident has created fear and concern among citizens, especially livestock traders. Prices of animals are already very high on the occasion of Eid, and in such a situation, the theft of such a large number of animals is a major financial loss for the owners. Local residents have demanded that the police improve security arrangements in the area.
The police have registered a report of the incident and started an investigation from various angles. Authorities say they are also checking CCTV footage from nearby buildings to identify the thieves and their vehicle. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures themselves for the safety of their sacrificial animals.
