New committee announced for the selection of Pakistani films
In a significant development for Pakistan's film industry, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has formed a new committee for the selection of Pakistani films for the Oscar Awards. The purpose of this committee is to select the best film to represent Pakistani cinema on the international stage.
This year's selection committee includes renowned artist Misha Japanwala and distinguished artist Tamkanat Mansoor. Along with them, other experts will also be part of this process, who will make the final decision by considering the story, direction, and technical quality of the films.
This committee is formed every year so that a nomination can be sent from Pakistan in the 'Best International Feature Film' category. The members of the committee are chosen from experienced individuals in the film world to ensure transparency and quality.
Pakistan's film industry has succeeded in making its mark globally over the past few years. The establishment of such committees not only encourages local filmmakers but also proves helpful in bringing Pakistani culture and stories to audiences around the world.
It is hoped that this year's committee will select a film that is not only technically strong but also capable of reflecting Pakistani society according to global standards. Fans and film circles are eagerly awaiting this decision.
