$440 Million Health Sector Agreements Signed Between Pakistan and China
During a two-day conference recently held in Islamabad, significant agreements have been reached between Pakistani and Chinese companies in the health and pharmaceutical sectors. The value of these agreements is reported to be approximately $440 million, marking a major step toward further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, the Pakistani Minister of Health assured Chinese investors of full cooperation. He clarified that the Government of Pakistan is committed to removing all obstacles for companies investing in the health sector. The objective of this initiative is to increase the local production of medicines in the country and improve the provision of modern medical facilities.
This partnership will bring new technology and investment into Pakistan's pharmaceutical sector, which is expected not only to stabilize medicine prices but also to create new employment opportunities. This major investment by Chinese companies is being hailed as a positive development for the advancement of Pakistan's medical infrastructure.
These agreements are a new example of cooperation in the health sector, in addition to the ongoing 'CPEC' projects between Pakistan and China. The government states that it will continue to improve its policies in the future to provide facilities to foreign investors, in order to bring economic stability to the country.
