President Zardari pays tribute to the armed forces, says Pakistan’s strength has been proven
President Asif Ali Zardari, while paying tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, said that the “Battle of Truth” proved the country’s strength, unity, and defensive capability. He said that when war was imposed, every Pakistani became a soldier and the entire nation demonstrated solidarity.
The President said that Pakistan is now being recognized worldwide as an important country working for peace and stability. According to him, the resolve shown jointly by the nation and the security institutions in difficult circumstances is a sign of Pakistan’s strength.
He praised the armed forces’ professional skill, sacrifices, and role in national defense. The President said that Pakistan’s military defended the country in every difficult time, and the public also provided complete support.
President Zardari stressed that national unity is Pakistan’s real strength. He said that in order to confront the challenges facing the country, all institutions and citizens must work together.
At the end of his statement, the President said that Pakistan not only has the capability to defend its borders, but will also continue to play its role for peace, cooperation, and stability in the region.
