Pakistan and China decide to increase cooperation against security threats posed by Afghanistan
Pakistan and China have decided to further strengthen mutual cooperation to improve the law and order situation in the region. High-ranking officials from both countries have agreed that militant groups active from Afghan soil are creating serious security challenges for Pakistan and China.
Both countries emphasized that the elimination of terrorism is essential for the development and stability of the region. To this end, the exchange of intelligence information between Pakistan and China will be increased in order to prevent illegal cross-border activities.
Pakistan has repeatedly demanded that Afghan authorities should not allow their soil to be used against any other country. China also supports Pakistan's position on this matter and is keen to work with Pakistan for the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
The purpose of this cooperation is not only to improve the security situation but also to secure key projects such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Officials believe that if peace is maintained in the region, economic activities will increase and the public will get better employment opportunities.
In the future, both countries will hold further meetings to implement this joint strategy. This commitment by Pakistan and China shows that they are united against any forces spreading chaos in the region and are determined to protect their common interests.
