Karachi: Arrest of Female Drug Dealer and Allegations of Bribing Police
Karachi police have arrested a woman on charges of drug trafficking, identified as Anmol alias Pinky. The police presented the suspect in a local court, where several key revelations regarding her illegal business came to light. This arrest is part of an ongoing campaign against drugs in the city.
According to the investigation, these drugs were brought from Lahore to Karachi via inter-provincial buses. The suspect and her accomplice sold expensive drugs like cocaine, the price of which is reported to be between 15,000 and 20,000 rupees per gram. To run this network, SIM cards registered on fake identity cards were used to evade the police.
During the investigation, the suspect Anmol alias Pinky also made a sensational claim. She stated that she paid millions of rupees in bribes to the police every month to continue her illegal work without hindrance. This statement has raised several questions regarding the internal system and corruption within the police.
Police officials state that they are seriously investigating all these allegations. Raids are being conducted to find other individuals involved in this case to dismantle the entire drug supply network. Following the court appearance, further legal proceedings in this case are now underway.
This incident has once again highlighted the increasing spread of drugs in major cities and the clever tactics of the groups involved. Citizens and social circles have demanded strict action not only against the criminals but also against the elements supporting them to eradicate drugs.
