Pakistan issues clarification on NICOP travel rules
The Ministry of Interior and NADRA have cleared up the confusion regarding NICOP travel rules for overseas Pakistanis. Officials state that this clarification is essential for all citizens who intend to travel to their home country.
According to the newly issued statement, Pakistanis who possess a valid NICOP card do not require any additional visa to enter Pakistan. This step has been taken to facilitate travel for overseas Pakistanis and to reduce the difficulties faced at airports.
Officials further clarified that if a citizen's card has expired, they must renew it before traveling. NADRA has already activated the card renewal process through an online portal so that individuals living abroad do not face any inconvenience.
The purpose of this decision is to improve travel facilities for overseas Pakistanis. The government has also issued instructions to all airlines to allow passengers to travel according to the latest NICOP status and not to create any unnecessary obstacles.
