Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif takes notice of the closure of the angiography unit at PIMS Hospital
Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has taken strict notice of the non-functional CT coronary angiography facility at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad. This hospital is the federal capital's largest medical institution, where thousands of patients arrive for treatment daily.
According to reports, the angiography machine, considered vital for heart patients at the hospital, had been out of order for a long time, causing severe difficulties for patients. Patients were forced to turn to private hospitals for their examinations, where treatment is very expensive.
The Prime Minister has directed the relevant authorities to repair the machine immediately and make it functional again. He emphasized that providing the best medical facilities to patients in government hospitals should be the government's top priority.
The Prime Minister has also ordered a full investigation into the matter to determine why the machine remained out of order for such a long time and why its repair was delayed. He has also issued instructions to the authorities to identify those responsible.
It is hoped that following the Prime Minister's notice, the provision of medical facilities at PIMS Hospital will improve and the difficulties faced by patients will be resolved soon. The government's series of measures to improve the health sector continues.
