If you live in Lima Norte, you can access free measles vaccines throughout the month of June. This campaign aims to protect the population against potential outbreaks of this highly contagious disease.
Coastal citizens must take precautions due to the strengthening of the El Niño phenomenon, which is already showing signs of intensification in the ocean. According to satellite reports, this climate event will cause heavy rains and potential flooding in Pacific coastal areas. The phenomenon is also causing extreme droughts in other parts of the world, such as Australia.
In the judicial sphere, a life sentence was handed down to the extortionists who murdered a 21-year-old driver in Comas. The crime occurred because the victim was one day late in paying a "cupo" (an illegal fee for security or routes) of only 7 soles. This sentence sets a precedent in the fight against mafias affecting public transportation.
In political news, the Special Electoral Jury (JEE) declared the list of Senate candidates from Renovación Popular inadmissible.
