Important change at Lidl: longer validity period for deposit vouchers
The Lidl Polska retail chain is introducing a significant change for its customers who use bottle return machines. Starting October 1st, the vouchers received after returning packaging will be valid for much longer than before.
Currently, customers have 30 days to use the voucher received from a deposit machine. After the change, this period will be extended to 100 days. This decision is intended to make shopping easier and increase the convenience for those who regularly use the recycling system in the chain's stores.
The deposit system in Poland is becoming increasingly popular, and stores are trying to adapt their rules to the needs of consumers. Extending the validity of vouchers is a response to feedback from customers who wanted more time to use their accumulated funds during subsequent store visits.
We remind you that deposit machines allow for the return of plastic bottles and cans for which a deposit was previously paid. Thanks to this solution, packaging is sent for recycling, which supports environmental protection and a circular economy.
The new rules will come into effect this coming Tuesday. Customers should keep in mind that vouchers with the longer validity period will be issued automatically after the packaging return process in the machine is completed.
