Government plans tax cuts for the middle class in the 2027 budget
The Polish government has presented its preliminary budget assumptions for 2027, which include significant changes to the tax system. The main point of the proposal is the introduction of tax relief aimed at people classified as the middle class. The goal of these measures is to increase citizens' disposable income and support the financial stability of Polish families.
The government's economic strategy anticipates that the Polish economy will maintain a stable pace of growth in the coming years. Government experts forecast that Poland's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth will reach 3 percent. Such a result is intended to allow for the safe financing of the planned tax cuts without excessively burdening the state's budget deficit.
The proposed changes are part of a broader plan to modernize the tax system, which aims to simplify regulations and improve the competitiveness of the Polish economy. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance emphasize that it is crucial to find a balance between supporting citizens and maintaining fiscal discipline, which is necessary in the face of the changing international situation.
Currently, the draft is at the stage of preliminary consultations. In the coming months, the government will hold talks with social partners and business organizations to refine the details of the new solutions. The final shape of the 2027 budget will be presented after the completion of economic analyses and an assessment of the impact of the changes on public finances.
