Warsaw celebrates Ukraine's Independence Day
In the near future, Warsaw will become the site of unique events related to the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day. The Polish capital has prepared a rich program that aims not only to commemorate a holiday important to Ukrainians but also to emphasize the solidarity between our nations.
Concerts featuring both Polish and Ukrainian artists will be the central point of the celebrations. These events are open to the public and are aimed at all residents of Warsaw, as well as visitors in the city who wish to celebrate the freedom and culture of our neighbors together.
An important part of the program will be the ceremonial presentation of the "Stand With Ukraine Awards." These honors will be awarded to Polish citizens who have been particularly involved in helping Ukraine and supporting war refugees since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The event organizers, including the National Centre for Culture, emphasize that the celebrations are an expression of gratitude and friendship. It is also an opportunity for the local community to integrate with those who have found safe shelter in Poland.
The Warsaw celebrations show how strong the ties are that connect both countries during difficult times. Residents of the capital are encouraged to attend the concerts and celebrate together, which serves as an important gesture of support for the independent Ukrainian state.
