Attack at a train station in Łódź: 41-year-old charged
A dangerous incident occurred at one of the railway stations in Łódź. A 41-year-old man has been accused of brutally attacking a woman who sustained serious injuries. The District Prosecutor's Office for Łódź-Bałuty has already brought official charges against him in this case.
The incident took place on May 22 at the Łódź-Żabieniec station. The victim had just got off a train and was heading down the stairs towards the street. At that moment, she was attacked by a man who kicked her in the head. The force of the blow was so great that the woman required immediate medical assistance.
Police quickly identified and detained the perpetrator. Investigators gathered evidence that allowed for charges of causing serious bodily harm to be filed against him. According to the prosecutor's office, the 41-year-old's behavior was exceptionally aggressive and had no justification.
During the interrogation, the man provided explanations that investigators described as unusual and not very credible. Despite his attempts to explain his behavior, the prosecution found that the evidence against him is very strong. Further actions are currently underway to thoroughly clarify the perpetrator's motives.
For causing such serious bodily injuries, the man faces a sentence of many years in prison. The court will now decide his further fate. Law enforcement services are appealing to passengers to report any dangerous situations they notice in public places.
