Poland strengthens its defense: new Krab self-propelled howitzers to join the army
Poland continues the process of modernizing its armed forces, focusing on modern equipment of domestic production. The latest information confirms that the Polish army will receive further batches of advanced Krab self-propelled howitzers, which will significantly impact the country's defensive potential.
In accordance with the signed contracts, Poland ordered 48 modern Krab 2 howitzers in 2024. This is part of a larger agreement that provides for the delivery of a total of 96 tracked self-propelled guns. This equipment is valued for its effectiveness and precision, making it one of the key elements of Polish artillery.
Foreign media, including Ukrainian outlets, are also writing about Poland's new purchases with interest. Military experts emphasize that the development of the Polish defense industry and investments in proven designs, such as the Krab, are of great importance for the security of the entire Central and Eastern European region.
Krab self-propelled howitzers are vehicles that have proven themselves in difficult combat conditions. Thanks to their tracked chassis, they can move efficiently across various terrains, allowing for a rapid response in emergency situations. Investing in such modern equipment is part of a long-term strategy to increase the size and quality of the Polish military.
Fulfilling such a large contract is not only a boost to security but also significant support for the Polish defense industry. Deliveries of the new self-propelled guns will continue in the coming months, which will allow for the successive equipping of further military units with modern weaponry.
