Polish companies rarely expand into foreign markets. The government wants to change this

The latest data for 2025 shows that Polish entrepreneurs are still reluctant to commit to international expansion. Only 4.5 percent of Polish companies are involved in the export of goods, and in the case of services, this percentage is even lower, at just 0.8 percent.

Experts point out that such low foreign activity limits the development potential of the domestic economy. Most Polish enterprises focus primarily on the local market, which makes them more vulnerable to domestic economic fluctuations.

However, this situation is set to change in the near future. The government and business support institutions are planning to launch new aid programs designed to encourage companies to seek clients outside of Poland. Billions of zlotys will be allocated for this purpose.

New funds are intended to help entrepreneurs cover the costs of entering new markets, legal consulting, and promoting Polish brands abroad. The goal is to increase the competitiveness of our companies within the European Union and beyond.

If these actions prove successful, we can expect an increase in the number of Polish exporters in the coming years. For the economy, this means a chance for higher profits and building a stronger position for Poland on the international business stage.
