Travel changes Poles' expectations of banks
The latest research conducted by Visa shows that the way we travel is having an increasing impact on our financial decisions. Residents of Central and Eastern European countries, including Poland, are increasingly evaluating their banks through the lens of the amenities available during trips abroad.
The report shows that nearly two-thirds of travelers from our region would be willing to switch banks if another institution offered them free ATM withdrawals worldwide. For many customers, the lack of additional currency conversion fees or cash withdrawal charges in foreign currencies is becoming a key argument when choosing a personal account.
In addition to financial issues, travelers are increasingly eager to use modern technologies. The study points to the growing popularity of artificial intelligence-based solutions that help with trip planning. These tools facilitate logistics organization, accommodation booking, and real-time budget management.
Experts note that banks must adapt to these new needs to maintain customer loyalty. In the digital age, convenience during foreign vacations or business trips is becoming one of the most important elements of a banking offer that modern consumers pay attention to.
