Search underway for two men in the Bay of Puck
Emergency services are conducting an intensive search for two men who went missing in the waters of the Bay of Puck. The operation began on Tuesday when the disappearance of individuals riding a jet ski was reported.
Preliminary findings indicate that the men set out on a jet ski trip, but the machine returned to shore without them. The situation is serious, and weather conditions, along with the large search area, pose a challenge for rescuers.
Specialized equipment has been deployed for the operation, including an Anakonda rescue helicopter, which has been searching the water surface from the air since Tuesday. Floating units and water rescuers are also working on-site, checking successive sectors of the bay.
Authorities are appealing to everyone in the vicinity of the Bay of Puck to exercise extreme caution and to report any information that could help in locating the missing men. The exact causes of the incident are currently unknown, and investigators are analyzing the sequence of events from Tuesday afternoon.
The search will continue until the men are found. Services also remind the public of the necessity to follow safety rules when using watercraft, especially in changing weather conditions.
