New service center for Apache helicopters to be built in Dęblin
Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 (Military Aviation Works No. 1) in Dęblin has been selected as the site for the construction of a modern service center. This facility will be responsible for the technical maintenance of engines used in the AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, which will join the Polish Armed Forces in the coming years.
The decision to establish the center in the Lublin Voivodeship is an important step in the process of modernizing the Polish army. Thanks to this investment, Poland will gain the capability to independently maintain the technical efficiency of its aircraft, which will significantly increase the combat readiness of the Apache helicopters.
The location of the service center in Dęblin is not accidental. The city has long-standing aviation traditions and the appropriate infrastructure that will allow for the maintenance of technologically advanced propulsion units. Cooperation with the helicopter manufacturer will provide Polish specialists with access to the latest technical knowledge.
This investment will also bring benefits to the local labor market. The creation of the center means new jobs for engineers and qualified aviation technicians from the region. This project is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the independence of the Polish defense sector.
