Internal tensions within the Law and Justice party
A serious internal dispute has broken out within the Law and Justice (PiS) party. The party's leadership has issued an official directive requiring all members to resign from any other associations of a political nature.
This decision has met with opposition from some activists who are closely associated with former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. According to media reports, some politicians disagree with the new guidelines and do not intend to leave the organizations in which they are currently active.
This situation highlights the growing divisions within Poland's largest opposition party. Political experts point out that the attempt to consolidate structures may be a reaction to the changing situation within the party following its loss of power last year.
At this moment, it is unclear what consequences await those who do not comply with the party leadership's decision. However, the PiS leadership has announced that the matter will be monitored and that party discipline remains a priority for the current leaders.
Observers of the Polish political scene believe that the coming weeks will be crucial for the future unity of Law and Justice. The resolution of this conflict will influence the party's strategy ahead of upcoming elections as well as its internal structure.
