Polish technology supports the development of offshore wind energy
PGE Baltica, a company belonging to the PGE Group, has announced a partnership with the Polish technology firm Chordata. Both parties have signed a letter of intent aimed at utilizing modern domestic solutions in the offshore wind energy sector.
Chordata specializes in advanced information technologies that could be crucial for the efficient management of offshore infrastructure. The collaboration is intended to help optimize operational processes and increase the safety of wind farms currently being developed in the Baltic Sea.
The development of offshore wind farms is one of the priorities of Poland's energy strategy. These investments aim to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the national energy mix and to make Poland independent of fossil fuels.
Involving local enterprises in such large-scale projects is an opportunity for the Polish economy. Through cooperation with companies like Chordata, Polish innovations gain the chance to be implemented on an industrial scale, which strengthens the country's position in the European energy market.
The signing of the letter of intent is another step toward building a strong supply chain for the offshore sector in Poland. Representatives of PGE Baltica emphasize that supporting domestic technology suppliers is crucial for the long-term success of offshore wind investments.
