Weather alert in Poland and changes at the Southern Hospital

In Warsaw, changes to the management of the Southern Hospital have been announced following a wave of criticism from the medical community. The most difficult situation is currently in the western part of the country, particularly in the Wrocław area, where intense rainfall and strong lightning are occurring. More storm cells are moving further into Poland, which may cause local flooding and transport disruptions.
On Monday, June 22, a new supervisory board for the Southern Hospital in Warsaw is to be appointed. This decision was made following reports of irregularities at the facility, concerning, among other things, the method of admitting patients. The Warsaw Regional Medical Council has called for urgent reforms and the depoliticization of public hospital boards, emphasizing that politicians should not directly manage healthcare facilities.
Former Presidents of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko, have renounced the Order of the White Eagle. Their decision is a protest against the revocation of this decoration from the current President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. President Karol Nawrocki justified the revocation of Zelenskyy's order by citing the crossing of a "pain threshold" in relations regarding historical issues and current politics.
