Unusual race in Krakow: Robots to run for those in need
On September 6, a unique sporting event will take place on Krakow's Błonia Park. For the first time in Poland, the "ROBOT RUN" will be organized—a race where, instead of humans, specially programmed robots will take to the track. This initiative aims to support the beneficiaries of the Poland Business Run Foundation.
The event organizers want to draw attention to the needs of people with physical disabilities in a modern way. Choosing robots as race participants is a symbol of technological progress, which is increasingly helping in the rehabilitation and daily functioning of those who have lost their mobility.
All proceeds from the campaign will be donated to help the beneficiaries of the Poland Business Run Foundation. These funds will support the purchase of prosthetics and rehabilitation equipment, and will finance rehabilitation stays for people who need support in returning to physical activity.
This event shows how technology can combine with helping others. Although we will see machines on the track, the main goal remains the human being and improving the quality of life for those struggling with health difficulties.
The organizers invite the residents of Krakow and everyone interested in new technologies to cheer on the robots. The event will begin on Friday morning, and detailed information regarding the course of the competition can be found on the foundation's website.
