Castorama records profit growth in Poland thanks to online sales
The home improvement retail chain Castorama has reported very strong financial results in the Polish market. The company recorded a significant increase in operating profit, which rose by 15.7 percent compared to the previous period.
Experts point out that these strong results are primarily driven by changes in the way Poles shop. A key factor has been the dynamic development of the e-commerce channel, or online sales, which is becoming increasingly popular in the renovation and construction industry.
In addition to individual purchases, the B2B sector—cooperation with other businesses—had a significant impact on the company's success. The growing needs of construction companies and contractors utilizing Castorama's offerings allowed the company to strengthen its market position.
These results show that the Polish construction retail sector is effectively adapting to modern digital solutions. Customers are increasingly appreciating the ability to order materials online, which directly translates into better financial results for the country's largest retail chains.
