Internal tensions in the Law and Justice party: new decisions from the party leadership
Important organizational changes have taken place within Poland's largest opposition party, Law and Justice (PiS). The party's leadership has issued an official directive requiring all party members to resign from membership in other politically oriented associations. This decision is intended to streamline party structures and strengthen internal discipline.
However, the new guidelines have sparked clear resistance within the group. Some activists, particularly allies of the former prime minister, do not agree with the imposed restrictions. This situation shows that serious discussions are currently underway within the party regarding future strategy and the way the organization is managed following the lost parliamentary elections.
Political experts point out that such moves are an attempt to consolidate the environment around the main PiS leadership. Introducing a ban on combining roles within the party with activities in other associations is intended to prevent the formation of independent factions that could weaken the unity of the group in the future.
At this moment, it is unknown what consequences await those who do not comply with the new rules. This matter remains one of the main topics in Polish politics, as it shows the difficult process of change that the country's largest opposition party is currently undergoing.
