Poland ready for permanent presence of allied troops
The Minister of National Defense has announced that Poland is fully prepared to host a permanent presence of allied troops on its territory. This decision aims to strengthen the security of the country and the entire eastern flank of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Currently, soldiers from various NATO countries are already stationed in Poland, participating in rotational exercises and training missions. A permanent troop presence, however, would involve the construction of new infrastructure and long-term planning for defense activities in the region.
According to experts, increasing the number of allies in Poland is a response to the changing geopolitical situation in Eastern Europe. The Minister emphasized that Poland is ready to provide the necessary technical and logistical support to assist the allies' operations in a continuous and effective manner.
Discussions regarding the details of this cooperation will continue during upcoming NATO summits. Government representatives note that border security remains a priority, and close cooperation with Western partners is a key element of Poland's defense strategy.
The decision regarding the permanent presence of allied troops is defensive in nature and aims to deter potential threats. Further arrangements concerning the size and location of units that could be permanently stationed in Poland are expected in the coming months.
