Poland invests 175 million euros in modern defense technologies
The Polish government has announced the allocation of 753 million zlotys, or approximately 175 million euros, for the development of innovative defense projects. These funds will be distributed as part of a special program called PERUN, which aims to support the domestic technology sector.
A total of 29 different research and technology projects will receive funding. This investment is a key element of the strategy to strengthen national security through the development of modern military solutions created in Polish research centers.
The PERUN program focuses on supporting scientists and engineers who are working on new technologies for the army. Thanks to these funds, it will be possible to accelerate the implementation of advanced systems that will increase Poland's defense capabilities in the face of contemporary geopolitical challenges.
The decision to provide such significant financial support underscores the priority given to the technical modernization of the Polish armed forces. Investments in research and development are intended not only to increase the country's security but also to strengthen the potential of the Polish defense industry on the international stage.
