Poland calls on SpaceX to change Starlink usage policies
The Polish government has issued an official demand to SpaceX, the company owned by billionaire Elon Musk. The matter concerns new terms of use for the Starlink satellite system that have been implemented by the American enterprise. Polish authorities believe that the current regulations are unfair to users in our country.
The problem is that the new rules treat Polish customers differently than users from other countries. According to representatives of the Polish side, this approach is discriminatory and hinders the use of modern internet technology, which is crucial for many people in various regions of Poland.
Starlink is a global satellite system that provides access to high-speed internet even in places where traditional cable connections do not reach. The company's services are used by individual customers, as well as businesses and public institutions. The changes introduced by SpaceX have therefore caused significant concern among Polish recipients.
Talks are currently underway in which Poland is demanding that Elon Musk's company withdraw the controversial provisions. The authorities emphasize that the terms of service should be transparent and equal for all customers in the European Union. At this moment, SpaceX has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
The situation remains ongoing, and the Polish ministry has announced further actions if the company does not change its position. Users in Poland are anxiously awaiting a decision that will allow them to use satellite internet under the previous, more favorable conditions.
